DVA (Department of Veterans' Affairs)
At Dockside Osteopathy, we’re proud to support our veterans.
If you hold a DVA Gold Card or eligible White Card, you can access osteopathic treatment with no out-of-pocket cost — your sessions are fully covered by the Department of Veterans' Affairs.
What Do We Treat?
We commonly help DVA clients manage musculoskeletal conditions such as:
Lumbar spondylosis and mechanical low back pain
Sciatica (nerve-related referred leg pain)
Neck pain and cervicogenic headaches
Shoulder, hip, and knee pain
Osteoarthritis-related pain and stiffness
Tendinopathies (e.g. Achilles, patellar, gluteal)
Overuse injuries linked to physical training or service (e.g. chronic strain, bursitis, joint overload)
Our approach is grounded in current clinical evidence and includes hands-on treatment, pain education, and movement-based rehab where appropriate.
What do I need to do?
Get a referral from your GP. This is usually done using a D904 referral form.
Bring your DVA card and referral to your first appointment.
That’s it — we’ll handle the rest.
How many treatments can I have?
Your GP will decide how many sessions they refer you for. Most referrals are valid for up to 12 months.
If you’re unsure whether you're eligible, feel free to give us a call at 0431 713 734 — we’re happy to help.
